Eastern Valley – Renovation

Built to last

Eastern Valley – Renovation

When bringing this home extension and granny flat design to life, MexLucky kept the look and feel of this Willoughby home’s original features to create a more seamless finish.

When the client came to MexLucky with their design for a large home extension and detached granny flat, we knew it was important we retain the period home’s front whilst maintaining a flawless flow to the new parts of the house.

So, we left the beautiful, half-century-old front as original and added a stunning two-storey extension at the back. The extension included a modern Hamptons feel with a large, open kitchen and living area, a good-sized walk-in-pantry and laundry. Upstairs, we added an additional 2 bedrooms and ensuite. To ensure a consistent flow throughout, we updated the flooring, paint work and ceilings. We did it so seamlessly it is impossible to tell where the old house ends, and the new house starts.

The spacious, detached granny flat comprises 2 bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom.

During this project, we worked with the architect to amend the plans for a more efficient home design and liaised with council on the overall approval process.
